So since she basically abandoned her job, Bossy Boss and I have been working together to cover the hours to make sure that the spa continues to run its course, and run its course smoothly. What's sooooo funny about the spa running smoothly... is that this weekend has been the weekend from hell at agua Spa, the spa at Mondrian.
Weekends are obviously the busiest times of the week for the spa. Lots of appointments, lots of treatments, so the weekend would be a good time to have everything going as well as possible.
So Friday night, after invoicing the last guest of the night, the work computer wouldn't let me print anything out. I could no longer access our spa program that allows us to view our appointments, charge guests for their treatments, I couldn't view guest profiles and information... nada. Bossy Boss and I turned off the computer and hoped it would work the next morning. Perhaps the hotel server was down or something.
Umm... definitely wasn't working on Saturday. We couldn't even get onto the internet, couldn't view our emails through Outlook... NOTHING. Super exciting, right? I mean... I love chaos on a busy day (sense my sarcasm).
So Bossy Boss texted me to come in earlier to help her out because she was dealing with idiotic "help" people on the phone without receiving any help all while trying to see guests and all that. So I went in as early as I could. I probably would've been there earlier had Scottsdale not closed off their roads for the freakin' parade that only resulted in my road rage and the smell of horse sh**. Anyway, so I got to work and Bossy Boss greeted me with the "No Tolerance" smile... I could tell that it was gonna be a longggg day.
Overall, the rest of the day was okay. We game-planned and strategized and everything in the end turned out functional. There were definitely some moments where I just wanted to pull out my damn hair. So I mean... it's all okay. It was just the most tedious day ever.
So today, I'm hooked up to the hotel's wireless network because we still have no connection in the spa, office and pool. I still can't log into our spa program, but at least I have an internet connection. I mean... Jesus... I can only play so many games of Spider Solitaire before going crosseyed.
