Considering that Tim and Kathe had me set up in a "bed and breakfast" at their home when Drew and I were in Indiana (because that's just how fabulous those two are), it seemed only appropriate to invite T and K over for some BBQ lovin'. My parents were so thankful that I was so well taken care of in Indiana that they were more than happy to have Drew's parents over. Since the Ogle parents were in SD visiting Ryan, it was a given that Ryan just had to come and join the fun! Ryan is so cool. Side note: It's great now that I know both of Drew's brothers because I get to see their similar and differentiating qualities. So fun!
Since Chester is a regular attendant to family functions, Darwin, Ryan's beagle, was clearly invited. Those two got along so well! So, all in all, Mom, Dad, Lyss, Chester, Tim, Kathe, Ryan, Darwin, and Drew and I were able to spend a lovely evening at my parents' home. Mom made some damn delicious food and Dad's grilling was fantastic. The families got to talk and hang out and enjoy some margs and beer. It was seriously so fun! And, in my opinion, the best part of the night was dessert! We put the backyard fireplace to use and made s'mores. The weather was absolutely perfect the whole day and during the night, it was even better. I think the Ogles got to experience a little bit of the Coto sunset, too. So beautiful.
I feel so incredibly lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend with a family that is so warm, considerate, kind, caring and loving. And of course, I am forever grateful for my parents and my sister and their amazing entertainment qualities and their warm openness. I know that my family had such a great time with Tim, Kathe, Ryan and Darwin. I hope the Ogles enjoyed the evening and enjoyed my family as well... I mean, after all, I do take after them. ♥
PS. I don't know what happened, but I didn't take any pictures of the wonderful BBQ! What was I thinking?! Maybe next time?...
