To tell you the truth though, I'm already exhausted. I had a pretty tough week last week trying to figure out the rest of my academic life, which also included trying to figure out my finances. So, I was pretty emotional, pretty mentally unstable and just downright grumpy. I apologize to those who were effected.
Nonetheless, I'm at school at this very moment waiting for my next class to begin. I already feel like I need to take a nap, but it's hot and uncomfortable. I should probably just wait until I get back to my apartment to hit the hay.
I have lots of classes on my school load this semester, so being organized and proactive is key for my success. I love it. I love being organized to begin with. As far as the proactive part, I generally procrastinate. By choice. I do better under pressure. However, I think it's time I avoid going down that path. The less procrastination, the less stress and the more time I have to perfect my assignments and so forth. So, hopefully I'll stay on track with this plan of mine.
Oh, by the way, I should probably throw in the fact that I'm no longer participating in the Creative Writing concentration. It's not because I don't want to anymore, it's because graduating on time is more important to me at this point, especially since I got denied for in-state tuition. So, Communication is still a concentration, and Interior Design History is my other. I'm taking 4 of the 6 classes required to graduate for Interior Design History already this semester, so I'm in good shape. Like I said, I just wanna get the hell out of school. I don't think my mind can take anymore to be honest.
I have 40 minutes left until class starts. I'll keep writing...
Oh!! Mom and Dad and Chester came out for a visit this past weekend! Yay! They stayed at the Westin Kierland in a wonderful casita, so Chester was happy. I had to work all weekend, so I didn't get to see the fam as much as I had liked to, but I stayed with them at the hotel which was fun. On Saturday night, we went out to Macayo's to celebrate some birthdays... aka Dad's and mine. It was so much fun. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas. I don't know if I can say that I was over-served because I was the one in control of that... needless to say, I'm a lightweight. Drew joined the fun as well. After dinner, we went to Yogurtbuilders for some froyo. Mmmm. Best dessert ever.
I had so much fun with Mom and Dad. Dad doesn't get to come out and visit as often as Mom does, so it was nice to have both of them out here. And Chester, of course, was lovely to see as well. Next time the Salgado parents come out together is Parents Weekend in October... looking forward to it!
My 23rd is on Sunday. Yeah, the big 2-3. It doesn't mean anything special really... other than I'm getting older. Hmm... oh well.
Anyway, Drew is just about getting to the COOR building here at ASU for his class tonight and coincidentally, we have our Monday night classes in the same building during the same period of time. So fun! So basically, I'm ditching the blogging to say hi to my man!
ALMOST DONE GREAT NEWS
