"It's about Love. L.O.V.E. Love." - MJ

Lyss and I decided to go see his movie. I know this doesn't surprise many people. We're major MJ fans. Since we couldn't physically go to his funeral, we resoluted to watching his memorial service on tv that made us cry and feel gloomy for about a week straight. We still can't believe the King of Pop died.

Anyway, we bought tickets in advance for the 9:00pm showing on Tuesday night - the opening showing. It was crazy. People had been waiting in line for hours. Some were dressed like Michael with the sequin glove, hat, sequined socks and sequined lining down the side of his pants. Seriously. It was fun to see. Which reminds me, I am sad to announce that I won't be dressing as MJ for Halloween this year. Drew and I will be going to a hockey game at the Jobing.com arena for Ducks vs. Coyotes. And it's kinda sentimental because we met last year on Halloween. Even more cheesy, I was wearing my Ducks jersey for Halloween when we met, so I'm obviously wearing that again this year.

Ok, MICHAEL. Michael, Michael, Michael. The most phenomenal movie showing his work. I swear. He was magnificent. Amazing. So many reporters/doctors had said that he was physically unfit to do his tour. Not true. You forgot he was fifty years old in this movie. He sounded amazing. He danced effortlessly. The movie truly shows his musical talent and genius. It shows his kind, caring, subdued yet intense nature. His perfectionism. His sincere love for humanity and the planet. I mean, god, he was astounding.

I highly recommend you go see it. Seriously. The film should win an award. They did the movie tastefully and movingly. Lyss and I definitely were teary-eyed in some parts, but only because of the songs he performed and how he performed them. I mean, that moving. I'm sure not everyone will have the same reaction because they haven't had Michael or the Jackson 5 in their lives like Lyss and I had grown up with. But still, excellent movie. Go see This is It. Totally worth it.

In the meantime, I'll be looking up MJ merchandise to purchase. I kinda want a tee.
