I knew Indiana would be pretty... but I didn't think it was going to be so rural and plush and green! It was absolutely gorgeous! And Downtown Indianapolis was incredible, too!
Ok, so basically to wrap up Indiana, I had the most amazing time because I was with the most amazing people. Tim and Kathe were the most wonderful hosts anyone could have asked for. Their hospitality was so warm and welcome. I have never felt so at home in a house other than my own before. And OMG. Kathe's cooking is to die for. Absolutely delicious. And their home... beautiful. And let me mention Tim's grass. It is the greenest, softest, prettiest grass I have ever seen. He has a technique he uses, which I will not disclose because it may be a secret, but it seems to work very, very well.
Every morning, I was guaranteed a good morning hug and every night I was guaranteed a good night hug. Needless to say, I didn't want to leave Indiana. I don't get my good morning/good night hugs from my parents anymore since I don't live at home... sad!
Tim and Kathe took Drew and I out for an incredible date night while we were visiting. We went to a wonderful corner wine bar that was spectacular. And for dinner we went to a fabulous Italian restaurant called Mama Corolla's (sp?). The food was excellent. I could have eaten it all if I really wanted to push my stomach to overload. After dinner, we went to Downtown Indianapolis.
Ok, DT Indy is amazing. I didn't think Indiana had a city like that (I know, I know... lame of me). It was beautifully lit and such a cool area. The architecture was awesome - there's definitely some history there. Tim, Kathe, Drew and I went for a horse carriage ride! Yes, a horse carriage. It was the best date night I have ever had! Our horse's name was Levi and he was incredible. His parents are Budweiser horses! He was huge, but so cute. Such a good boy. He was really good at steering us, too. Ok, so enough about Levi, the tour was fantastic. It was a 30 minute ride throughout the city. Loved it. Would do it again in a heartbeat. And just for the record, I think I wanna buy my own horse and carriage. Just cuz I loved Levi. He inspired me.
Anyway, earlier that day, Kathe and I had some lady time! She took me to her friend's boutique to go shopping where I found my favorite companion... my purse. And then I also found some great earrings that are fabulous, of course. So Kathe and I removed all of the contents from our purses to put them in our desired purses to see how they hold up and how they look when they're full. We modeled them in the mirror and came to the decision that we had to make some purchases. Kathe, however, decided to buy the purse and earrings for me as my birthday gift! So sweet. Ok, here is the funniest part of that shopping experience... Kathe and I were both dressed in black dresses with cute flip flops, our hair down and done and the purse I got looked very similar to the one Kathe already had. So when we got home after shopping, we walked into the house with Tim and Drew staring at us. It was so hilarious!
I had the time of my life visiting Indiana. I loved meeting Drew's friends, I loved hanging out with Tim and Kathe and getting to know them better, I loved my morning/evening hugs, loved the food, loved Tim's fabulous Cosmopolitan, loved Kathe's cooking, loved their home, loved their yard, loved their neighborhood, loved EVERYTHING! Hopefully I'll be lucky enough to be invited back!
Aren't you jealous you didn't get to go to Indiana with me?? ;-)
