To Do List

I ♥ Colorado. It's so wonderful here. I no longer consider myself new to the area, but I still have to google map stuff a lot... just to make sure my instincts are correct. And there is still so much to see. Andrew and I wrote a to do list and stuck in on our fridge. And this week, we tackled/are gonna tackle two more of those things.

When Andrew and Leroi came to pick me up at the airport from Seattle (post about the trip coming soon), Andrew asked me if I would be interested in heading over to Rocky Mountain National Park... uhhh, yes please!!

So, the three of us headed out to the park and boy am I glad we did. We grabbed 6" sandwiches from Blimpie and picnic'd at one of the creeks. It was absolutely beautiful and we loved it. Leroi had a blast. It was sooo beautiful. And Estes Park is such a cute place, lined with shops, boutiques, restaurants. Ever heard of Estes Park before? The famous Stanley Hotel is there - Stephen King's The Shining is based on the author's experiences at the Stanley. Creepy cool, huh? We also went to Bear Lake, a beautiful lake that provides a perfect reflection of the mountains in the water... on a clear day, that is. We got rained on. :(

Anyway, it was a wonderful time and in a way, it was kind of romantic. We enjoy each other so much and we're both soooo grateful to have been able to move to Colorado together. It's been such a wonderful time building our lives.

For Thursday night, Andrew got us tickets to OAR at Red Rocks Ampitheater. It's going to be an awesome concert and Red Rocks is BEAUTIFUL! And it's only 5-10 mins away from us.
